Search across Attachments and Images

Now you can search or query the AI Agent about the content across the attached files and images on your Perfect Wiki pages. Perfect Wiki search engine now can extract text from all attachments in your knowledge base.

How to enable indexing of attachments ?

1. Open Settings→ Attachments

2. Check the box to enable indexing of attachments

   

3. After that - you'll see the list of all the attachments in your current knowledge base

How does search across attachments work?

1. After enabling the indexing of files - you can use the Perfect Wiki search bar or the AI Knowledge Bot to run queries as usual. 

   

2. The search engine will return the answers based on the content from files and use your attachments as sources. 

   

How to disable attachments indexing?

1. Open Settings→ Attachments

2. Uncheck the box to disable indexing of attachments

   

3. After that - your knowledge base attachments won't be indexed neither by the search, nor by the AI Bot, meaning that the content from attached files and images won't be used as a source for answering your questions or search queries.

What attachments formats are supported for indexing?

We support PDF, Word (docx), csv, txt, html, md, PowerPoint (pptx), eml files and images (png, jpeg, svg etc.)

Can you do OCR (optical character recognition)?

Yes, Perfect Wiki search and AI Agent screen the text directly from the images in your knowledge base and use it for answering your queries.

How can I understand that attachments are indexed in my knowledge base?

To make sure that indexing attachments is on, Open Settings→ Attachments, and make sure that the box to enable indexing of attachments is checked.

How to view all the attachments on my page?

To se the list of all the attached files of a page, just click ‘Attachments’ button on the ride-hand panel. 

There you'll see the files and formats and will be able to download or preview them.
